Rusin provided an assist and earned a penalty in the Sunderland U-21 match with Derby

The Ukrainian team beat the outsiders of the tournament

Ukrainian striker Nazariy Rusin played a productive match with youth team Sunderland with Derby County U-21. The black cats beat the tournament outsiders with a score of 3:1.

Rusin helped open the scoring in the match with an assist. The Ukrainian responded to his partner’s cutting pass, broke away from the defenders, beat the goalkeeper, and left the ball to Adil Aushish, who hit the empty goal.

Then Rusin ran one-on-one with the goalkeeper again after a long pass forward. The Ukrainian was brought down on the penalty line. The penalty was converted by Ellis Taylor.

Previously, Rusin made his debut for the Sunderland first team. The Ukrainian came on as a substitute in the 88th minute of the 8th round of the Championship match against Cardiff and did not have time to help his team escape defeat with a score of 0:1.

Let us remind you that on the first day of September, 24-year-old Rusin moved to Sunderland from Zarya, signing a four-year contract with an option to extend for another season. For the Lugansk club at the start of the season, he managed to play two matches in the UPL (the last one on August 6), scoring one goal.

Sunderland are fifth in the Championship with 13 points. In the next match, Rusin’s team will play away at Sheffield Wednesday on September 29.
