Lomachenko: Now I’m still dangerous, I still have speed, strength and conditioning

Vasily intends to show his best in the fight with Kambosos

Former world champion in three weight categories, Ukrainian Vasily Lomachenko commented on the upcoming fight with the Australian, former absolute world lightweight champion George Kambosos.

“I was a man who wanted to conquer the world. I was very close to becoming the overall champion. But it didn’t work out for me because I lost in the lightweight division. My dream, my goal was taken from me. I wouldn’t like to end on that note.”

“I remember times when I was the person that no one wanted to fight. Now, of course, everyone wants to fight me because I’m older. But now I’m still dangerous, I still have speed, strength and conditioning. I just want to show my best.”

The fight between Vasily and George will take place on May 12. The event, which also includes two undercard fights, will take place at the RAC Arena in Perth, Australia, starting at approximately 5 a.m. Kyiv time.

Let us remember that in May 2023, Lomachenko lost to Devin Haney in a fight for the title of absolute world champion. In turn, Kambosos defeated Briton Maxi Hughes in his last fight, winning the IBO lightweight title.
