Gross scored the winner in the 89th minute
Team Germany in Mönchengladbach won a victory over Greece in the control match – 2:1.
The visitors took the lead in the 34th minute through the efforts of Giorgos Masouras. The Germans quickly came back, but Kai Havertz’s goal was disallowed for offside.
After the break, Julian Nagelsmann’s team equalized the score: this time Havertz scored according to the rules. At the end of the match, an accurate strike from Pascal Gross brought the Germans victory.
Let us remind you that on June 3, Germany played a draw with the Ukrainian national team in Nuremberg – 0:0.
For the German national team, this was the last friendly match before Euro 2024. At the continental championship, Nagelsmann’s team will play in the same group with Scotland (June 14, opening match), Hungary (June 19) and Switzerland (June 23).
Greece will play a test match with Malta on June 11. Let us remind you that the Greek team lost to Georgia in the final playoff qualifying for Euro 2024 (0:0, 2:4 penalties).
