Runner Konstantin Krylov said he wants to become the first Russian athlete who can run 100 meters in less than 10 seconds.

Krylov won the 200 meters race (20.63 seconds) at the BRICS Games.

— The race went as I planned. Not everything worked. If everything went well, the seconds would be even faster. It is very unexpected and impressive to see athletes from other countries here. There was not a single Russian or Belarusian athlete in my race. Very interesting! This is my first international tenure. I have never been abroad before.

— Natalya Spiridonova took the start in Malaysia, which is on the world athletics calendar. Is there any hope that you will go too?

— I saw that Natasha was playing there. I was surprised. Since she had the opportunity, it means we will have a chance to leave. I too would like to participate.

— When will there be a runner in Russia who will run in less than 10 seconds in the 100 meters? Can you become one?

– I would like to be the first to do this. I hope it happens soon. “Everything is real,” reports the correspondent, according to Krylov’s words.
