Beloded, Litvinenko, Khalmatov and Yadov will represent Ukraine at the 2024 Olympic Games in judo

Daria has already won an Olympic medal in Tokyo, for everyone else this experience will be the first

Ukraine received four Olympic licenses in judo. Our country will be represented in Paris Daria Beloded, Elizaveta Litvinenko, Dilshot Khalmatov And Bogdan Yadov.

The final number of Ukrainian quotas for the 2024 Olympics became known after the International Judo Federation closed the Olympic rankings.

Beloded (57 kg category) is the only representative of Ukraine who has previously taken part in the Olympics. At the Tokyo Games, the Ukrainian became a bronze medalist in the weight category up to 48 kilograms.

Let us remind you that Beloded is the current European champion. For her, this victory was her first at the European/World Championship level after changing the weight category in 2022. Daria became the European champion for the third time – in 2017 and 2019 she won gold medals in the 48 kg weight category.

Litvinenko applied for an Olympic ticket together with Yulia Kurchenko in her category up to 78 kilograms, but in the internal selection it was Elizaveta who got the place.

Khalmatov, we recall, missed the last two major international competitions – the European Championship and the World Championship (the latter was also held without Beloded). Problems with the knee joint prevented him from performing there, but he should approach the 2024 Olympic Games fully armed. Dilshot is the silver medalist of the 2023 European Championship in the 60 kilogram category.

Yadov (up to 66 kg) became European champion in 2022 and bronze medalist in 2023.

Ukraine has already qualified 125 athletes for the Olympic Games in Paris. The largest number are in football (18) and athletics (17). The games will take place from July 26 to August 11, 2024.
