Americans Sha’Karri Richardson and Melissa Jefferson took their places on the podium
Athlete from Saint Lucia Julien Alfred became an Olympic champion in 100 meter dash among women on Games-2024 in Paris.
Alfred ran the 100m in 10.72 seconds. The other places on the podium were taken by the Americans. Sha’Karri Richardson won silver, Melissa Jefferson – bronze.
Julien set a national record in the final race. The athlete will then compete in the 200m at the 2024 Olympics, with preliminary competitions for this distance starting on August 4.
The 2024 Summer Olympics will end on August 11. The competitions will feature 329 sets of medals in 32 sports. Ukraine will be represented in Paris by 140 athletes in 23 sports – this is the smallest representation of the blue and yellow during the Olympics.
