Coach notes the strength of the Krivoy Rog club
Head coach of the Czech Republic Victoria Miroslav Koubek shared his expectations for the upcoming clash with Kryvbas in the qualification Europa Leagues.
“We have a lot of injured players. But despite this, we have won two of the first three matches of the Czech championship and are moving forward.”
“Of course, we know every Kryvbas player, because we analyze them and prepare. But I don’t want to single anyone out.”
“Kryvbas is a good team, well-equipped technically. But we have also strengthened during this time. Both teams are expecting a tough match. Let’s see what the game will be like in the end.”
“I would like to note the courage and strength of Kryvbas. Vernidub worked in Moldova, and after the war began, he joined the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. I respect him very much. He is a real person and a brave person. Yes, we take into account this factor that Kryvbas is very motivated.”
The first, “home” match for Kryvbas will take place in Kosice, Slovakia today, August 8. The match will start at 21:00. The match will be refereed by the Austrian team led by Sebastian Gishamer. The return match will take place in Pilsen on August 15.
If the bronze medalist of the UPL overcomes this round, then for a place in the group tournament of the second-ranked European Cup, it will fight with the Scottish Hearts. In case of elimination from Viktoria, Kryvbas will continue the fight in the playoffs of the Conference League qualification.
