American swimmer Kate Douglass set a new world record in the short course 200-meter breaststroke at the third stop of the World Cup in Singapore.
Douglass covered this distance in 2 minutes 12.72 seconds. The American surpassed her own feat – at the previous World Cup stop in Incheon, South Korea, she clocked 2.14.16 in the 200-meter breaststroke.
Douglass, 22, is a two-time champion at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
The Short Course World Cup in Singapore ends on November 2.
