Former Spanish World No. 1 Rafael Nadal lost his chances of reaching the semi-finals of the ATP Finals on Tuesday.
This became clear after Norway’s Kasper Ruud took the first set from American Taylor Fritz in the Greens’ second round group match. Nadal, who lost to Canadian Felix Auger-Alyassime on Tuesday and had already lost to Fritz, lost his mathematical chances of qualifying from the group. In the final round, the Spaniard will face Ruud on November 17.
Nadal, 36, is a 22-time Grand Slam winner. Currently, the Spaniard is ranked second in the ATP rankings.
