Ukrainian in the final won a strong-willed victory over Jessica Ponchet from France
Ukrainian tennis player Daria Snigur became winner ITF tournament in a Spanish city Vitoria-Gasteiz.
The Ukrainian won a strong-willed victory over the third seeded Jessica Ponchet from France. The three-set duel lasted more than an hour and a half.
The Frenchwoman won the first set and took the lead in the second with a score of 4:0. However, Daria seized the initiative and won six games in a row. In the third set, Daria extended the series for another five winning games, after which she confidently brought the fight to victory.
At the tournament in Spain, the Ukrainian defeated Sebastian Schilipoti from Switzerland, defeated Spaniard Georgina Garcia-Perez, and in the 1/4 finals she defeated another representative of Spain, Marina Bassols. In the semi-finals, Daria defeated Chinese representative Bai Zhuoxuan.
Snigur won the seventh title in her career. The last time Daria won the ITF tournament in Dubai in 2021.
