Russian tennis player Anna Kalinskaya withdrew from the WTA 1000 tournament in Miami due to health problems, reports the press service of the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA).
On Monday, Kalinskaya was scheduled to play a round of 16 match against Greek Maria Sakkari.
“I’m really sorry, I really wanted to play today, but unfortunately my health doesn’t allow it.” Thank you for your support,” Kalinskaya said.
In the quarter-finals, Sakkari will face the winner of the match between Madison Keys (USA, 17 years old) and Elena Rybakina (Kazakhstan, 4 years old).
Kalinskaya ranks 25th in the world rankings.
