The tournament schedule was changed due to rain
Match of the Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina With Magda Linett from Poland in the first round Wimbledon 2024 rescheduled for Wednesday, July 3rd.
Svitolina and Linette were supposed to play on July 2, but during today’s game day the matches were suspended due to rain, which led to a shift in the schedule. As a result, Elina’s match with Magda was postponed to the following day.
Six Ukrainians competed at Wimbledon 2024: Dayana Yastremska beat Nadia Podoroska, Marta Kostyuk defeated Rebecca Sramkova, Yulia Starodubtseva triumphed over Alison van Uytvanck, Lesia Tsurenko lost to Varvara Gracheva, Kateryna Beindl lost to Laura Siegemund, and Angelina Kalinina was defeated by Elina Avanesyan.
The British Grand Slam tournament runs from July 1 to 14. In last year’s Wimbledon draw, Svitolina was the best among Ukrainians, reaching the semi-finals.
