Former world number one Rafael Nadal announced that he has decided to withdraw from the 2024 US Open.
The US Open will take place from August 26 to September 8 in New York.
— I have decided not to compete in the US Open this year. I will miss those exciting and special night sessions in New York, but I don’t think I will be able to give 100% this time.
“Thank you to all my fans in the USA, I will miss you especially, see you next time. Good luck to all for an incredible US Open! My next tournament will be the Laver Cup in Berlin,” Nadal wrote on the social network X.
The Spaniard is 38 years old and a four-time winner of the US Open (2010, 2013, 2017, 2019).
