The International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) has expressed its condolences over the death of a Russian freestyler Pavel Crotov .
Krotov died at the age of 30. The athlete’s cause of death is not specified.
“The International Ski and Snowboard Federation expresses its deepest condolences to Pavel’s family, friends and loved ones,” FIS said in a statement.
Krotov at the 2021 World Championships won gold in the team tournament in acrobatics and bronze in individual competitions. He also won the World Cup, participated in the Olympics in Sochi and Pyeongchang.
