The team from the Sakhalin region won the stage of the Russian Alpine Ski Cup

The team from the Sakhalin region won the Moscow stage of the Russian Alpine Skiing Cup in parallel slalom.

On Saturday, in Moscow, in Vorobyovy Gory, the stage of the Russian Alpine Skiing Cup took place. The victory was won by the team from the Sakhalin region, consisting of Anna Shukhova, Artem Kashintsev, Rinata Kashintseva and Yuri Drugov. In second place is the team of the Kaluga region (Ksenia Milyukova, Dmitry Chudny, Yulia Sharikova and Alexander Andrienko), in third place is the team of the Leningrad region (Maria Kolgotina, Dmitry Rybakov, Alexandra Zharkova and Viktor Bubenin). This was reported on site by a correspondent who spoke to the winners after the race.

Shukhova: — Everything happened as quickly as possible. My heart was beating very fast at first. We were worried, it was the final after all.

— How long did you prepare for the competition?

Kashintseva: This is exactly what we were not prepared for. We recently arrived from other stages of the Russian Cup, came here and did our best.

— Were you ready for first place?

Shukhova: – To be honest, no. We had very strong rivals – the Moscow region, Moscow.

Drugov: Yes, the opponents were worth it. We really enjoyed the race, it was very exciting. We recently arrived from other stages of the Russian Cup, and this is another stage before the New Year. All the competitors were worth it, we were a little unlucky because after the first race we met the stronger, but we managed. The team spirit has not weakened and we now occupy first place. I would like to congratulate our Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk ski school on its 60th anniversary, thank you very much for everything!

— How long did it take to fly from Sakhalin to Moscow?

Kachintsev: – Eight hours. We arrived yesterday. The road was difficult, however, yesterday we rested. Personally, I was determined to win. I’m glad it worked.

— Is it difficult to play at such a pace?

Shukhova: – Actually, we are already used to it, because we have a very busy schedule. Competitions take place almost every day,” the team members told the correspondent.

The next stage of the Russian Cup will take place on December 25 in the Kaluga region.
