Athletistic/Bobsleigh. World champion and multiple European bobsleigh champion Alexander Zubkov expressed his willingness to return Olympic gold to the IOC, subject to the provision of evidence of his guilt in doping.

In 2014, Zubkov won the doubles and fours competitions at the Olympics. Subsequently, the IOC accused the athlete of violating anti-doping rules and annulled his results at the Sochi Games.

In 2018, the Moscow City Court found Zubkov not guilty, allowing him to keep his Olympic gold medal and presidential scholarship.

“I led the federation for three years after the Olympics, and the entire global bobsleigh community understood that it was a political order at the time. If Thomas Bach provides me with evidence of guilt, I am ready to return the Olympic medals. However, at the moment there is no such evidence,” Zubkov noted in an interview with the Match TV channel.
