– I am happy. As it was the first day back at school, it was a bit exciting, like the first time in CP (smiles). But today the weather was beautiful, there was no rain, it was sunny, there were a lot of spectators – I loved everything.
“There was another error.” What caused the error?
“I think I already tried to move away from the line a little bit and because of that I hesitated with my pole and I also lost time.” There were so many coaches on the last lap, everyone was cheering me on, I was just thinking about running forward.
— Have you ever thought about trying to compete for gold?
— Yes, everyone was shouting that there was a slight lag. They said 10 seconds, I don’t know if it’s true or not, but I tried to fight.
— As a result, at the finish line we shared second place with Nastya Shevchenko. Have you ever been on the same step of the pedestal with someone?
– For the first time. It’s quite interesting, but I liked it (smiles).
— How many days before the start of the competition did you arrive here?
— We arrived the night before last. Yesterday we had an official training session and today we are running.
— There was no jet lag?
— Everything was fine, because we went to bed early. Here, the races are held during the day, so the time difference doesn’t affect him much.
— Would you like to come to Krasnoyarsk in winter?
– Yes, there is a good track here. I remember being here at the Universiade with Irishka [Казакевич]”I always loved everything,” Derbusheva told .
