The RBU indicated whether there would be any problems with the participation of the ex-biathlete of the Ukrainian national team in the Russian championship

The regulations of the Russian Championship are established by the regional Ministry of Sports, if everything corresponds to the application, the Russian Biathlon Union (RBU) will have no questions, said the head of the RBU Viktor Maygurov comment on desire Catherine Beh perform at the Tchaikovsky Tournament.

Ekaterina Bekh has been playing for the Ukrainian national team since 2018, from where she was expelled in April. After that, she decided to return to Russia, the 23-year-old athlete was included in the team of the Moscow region. Bekh and two other former Russians Oksana Moskalenko and Olga Abramova were fired from the Ukrainian national team in April because they “did not meet the criteria to get into the team”.

– I do not know. Perhaps the process is underway. I know that Bekh is engaged in the Moscow region, to be honest, I was not interested in everyone. For us at SBR, no one asked for help. It’s more a question for the territories they plan to speak for, so before they get citizenship they’ll probably have to coordinate their speeches if necessary, Maigurov told reporters.

– Is it necessary to coordinate their performances in Tchaikovsky?

– There is a certain performance regulation, which is signed by the regional Ministry of Sports. If everything matches the application, we have no bans.

The Summer Biathlon Championship of Russia will be held in September in Tchaikovsky (Perm Territory).
