AEK Athens have reached an agreement with Hungarian club Győr to sign midfielder Milán Vitális, 24, the second midfielder head coach Marko Nikolić had been waiting for after the signing of Mayer.

The two clubs have agreed on all terms after AEK held talks with Győr over the past 24 hours, and Vitális is expected in Athens shortly.
He will undergo medical examinations, sign his contract, and then be placed at Nikolić's disposal.
Vitális was one of Győr's leading players last season, in a campaign in which the club won the Hungarian championship.
An earlier report on August 2, 2026, described the transfer as close to completion and said Vitális was Nikolić's personal choice.

Champions League eligibility
Vitális will not be eligible to play for AEK in the Champions League qualifying rounds. He has already appeared in this season's Champions League and Conference League qualifiers while playing for Győr.
