Angela Stanford has named Megan Khang, Rose Zhang and Lindy Duncan as her three captain's picks for Team USA at next month's Solheim Cup, with the American squad officially confirmed on Monday.
The selections were announced after this weekend's CPKC Women's Open, at which Andrea Lee and Alison Lee also secured qualifying spots for Team USA through the Rolex Women's World Golf Rankings.
Full Team USA squad
Andrea Lee and Alison Lee join Nelly Korda, Angel Yin, Jennifer Kupcho, Yealimi Noh, Auston Kim, Lauren Coughlin and Allisen Corpuz, who all qualified for the tournament via the LPGA points list.
Khang, Zhang and Duncan then completed the 12-player roster as Stanford's three captain's picks.
Korda is a former world number one and multiple major champion. Zhang is a former world number one amateur who turned professional in 2023.
Defending champions head to the Netherlands
Team USA go into the tournament as defending champions after beating Team Europe 15.5-12.5 in the 2024 edition of the Solheim Cup.
This year's contest will be played at Bernardus Golf in the Netherlands, from September 11 to 13.
The Solheim Cup is a biennial team competition between the leading women's golfers from the United States and Europe, contested in a Ryder Cup style format of foursomes, four-balls and singles matches. Team Europe will be captained by Anna Nordqvist.
Angela Stanford's captaincy
Stanford is a veteran of the LPGA Tour who represented Team USA as a player at multiple Solheim Cups during her career before taking on the captaincy for the 2026 event.
How qualifying worked
The CPKC Women's Open is an LPGA Tour event held annually in Canada. The Rolex Women's World Golf Rankings and the LPGA points list are the two routes used to determine automatic qualification for the Solheim Cup, with the remaining places filled by the captain's picks.
