Athletistic/MMA. UFC CEO Dana White commented on the possibility of a rematch between UFC lightweight champion Russia’s Islam Makhachev and Brazil’s Charles Oliveira.

White noted: “It all depends on how quickly Oliveira heals. The damage was serious and deep. It’s good that Charles turned to a plastic surgeon who was able to stitch the wound reliably. We hope that ‘Oliveira will recover quickly and well.’ the MMAJunkie portal quotes the promoter.

Recall that in October 2022, Islam Makhachev won by submission in the second round against Charles Oliveira and became the UFC lightweight champion. The rematch scheduled for UFC 294 in October 2022 did not take place due to a serious injury to the Brazilian. He was replaced by Australian Alexander Volkanovski, who lost to Makhachev in the first round.
