American Kevin Holland can be called a promising fighter, it’s good that he became a rival Khamzat Chimaev during the UFC 279 tournament, said mixed martial arts club coach Akhmat Murad Bichuev.
The fight in Las Vegas ended with Chimaev’s victory in the first round. Initially, the Swedish fighter of Chechen origin was supposed to meet another American, Nate Diaz, but failed at the weigh-in.
– To be honest, I was very happy that it was Holland who became Chimaev’s opponent at UFC 279. Especially after seeing the confrontation between Diaz and Ferguson. Whatever you say, Nate has aged, not in the shape he was before. Kevin, on the contrary, is a promising young fighter, Bichuev told RT.
Chimaev has 12 wins in 12 mixed martial arts fights. Holland suffered the eighth loss of his career with 23 wins.
