French winger Bradley Barcola is set to undergo a medical on Merseyside within the next 24 hours ahead of completing a £123 million transfer to Liverpool from reigning European champions Paris Saint-Germain.
Liverpool have agreed an initial £106 million fee with PSG for the 23-year-old forward, with the deal including up to £17 million in performance-related add-ons.
Barcola is expected to sign a five-year contract with the Premier League club, making the move the most expensive transfer of the summer window.
Documents are still to be exchanged between Liverpool and PSG, while travel arrangements are currently being finalized for the player's arrival in England.
Barber confirms Anfield transfer
Confirmation that the blockbuster move is underway came from Barcola's barber, Enzo Dias, whose hair studio is located in Paris.
Dias shared a video on Friday showing him trimming Barcola's hair as the winger prepared to depart France for Merseyside.
Writing on Instagram, Dias posted, "Last ride for Bradley Barcola before he leaves," while the video footage was also captioned "last cut for Barcola before Liverpool."
Negotiations and transfer strategy
Liverpool reached a breakthrough with PSG earlier this week following several weeks of negotiation aimed at reducing the European champions' stubborn £145 million valuation.
The deal was led by Liverpool sporting director Richard Hughes alongside Fenway Sports Group president Mike Gordon.
Barcola has been Liverpool's primary target for several months as the club seek to replace veteran forward Mohamed Salah following his move to Turkish outfit Trabzonspor.
Liverpool had previously targeted Yan Diomande and had a bid rejected for the winger before he ultimately joined Spanish giants Real Madrid.

The signing of Barcola represents a major boost for Liverpool's new head coach Andoni Iraola as he shapes his squad at Anfield.
Barcola began his career in the youth academy at French side Lyon before moving to PSG, where he spent the last three seasons.
During his spell in the French capital, the 23-year-old scored 39 goals in 152 appearances, winning two UEFA Champions League titles and three Ligue 1 championships.
At international level, Barcola represented France at this summer's World Cup, scoring against England in the third-place play-off match.
