Charlie Woods has signed a deal with TaylorMade, one of golf's biggest equipment brands, adding to his soaring NIL fortune before he has even turned professional.

The 17-year-old, son of 15-time major champion Tiger Woods, was unveiled as TaylorMade's newest signing in a social media video showing him putting on his golf spikes in the locker room before pulling on a TaylorMade hat. "Just getting started. Welcome to the squad, Charlie Woods," the brand wrote.

The news broke while Woods was putting in a strong performance at the American Junior Golf Association Junior Players, where he shot a one-under first round to sit tied for seventh on the leaderboard.

Terms of the deal unclear

The exact nature of the agreement with TaylorMade has not been disclosed. Tiger Woods still has a deal with the brand and uses its clubs, joining other TaylorMade stars including Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler, Tommy Fleetwood and Collin Morikawa.

Tiger Woods now also has his own clothing brand, Sun Day Red, which Charlie has worn in the past, so it remains unclear whether his new TaylorMade deal will cover clothing as well as equipment. Either way, it is the latest big deal the teenager has secured before turning professional.

NIL valuation and Florida State commitment

Woods has just started his final high school golf season and is committed to Florida State University.

Woods already has a host of NIL deals ahead of starting college at Florida State University

He has won two high school state championships with his team, and his first AJGA junior title came at the AJGA Team TaylorMade Invitational in 2025.

According to The Caddie Network, Woods already carries an estimated NIL valuation of $3 million, per its latest Collegiate Golf NIL market values. That is the highest golf NIL valuation since the rankings were introduced in 2024, with his commercial appeal rivaled only by Kai Trump.

Family ties boost commercial appeal

Kai Trump, the granddaughter of the President, has three million followers on Instagram and ranks second on the list with an estimated NIL valuation of $2.25 million.

Kai is the daughter of Vanessa Trump, who is dating Charlie's father, meaning the combined families dominate the top of the rankings between them.

Charlie is reportedly represented by Players Group Management for NIL opportunities and has long been tipped to cash in on his family status. His high school coach, Toby Harbeck, told the Palm Beach Post in 2024: "I'm sure someone's going to approach him with NIL. They're so smart and they've got such good people around them that I think the only thing we need to be careful of is making sure we're all aware of what's going on."
