Krasnodar striker Jhon Cordoba and Zenit Saint Petersburg defender Nino have topped the list of Russian Premier League players whose market values fell the most in the latest intermediate database update.
Both players saw their estimated transfer values drop by 1 million euros, falling from 10 million euros to 9 million euros, according to a report by Sport-Express referencing figures published by football website Transfermarkt.
Cordoba, a 33-year-old Colombian international forward, plays for FC Krasnodar, a top-flight club founded in 2008 and based in southern Russia. Nino, a 29-year-old defender from Brazil, represents Zenit Saint Petersburg, one of Russia's most successful football clubs based in the country's second-largest city.
Valuation Drops Across the League
Two other top-flight players suffered matching valuation declines of 1 million euros during the recent mid-season assessment. Zenit Saint Petersburg midfielder Wilmar Barrios and Dynamo Moscow defender Nicolas Marichal both recorded decreases that brought their respective market values down to 5 million euros each.
Barrios features as a defensive midfielder for Zenit, while Marichal plays in central defense for Dynamo Moscow, a historic capital city club competing in Russia's top division.
Transfermarkt, a German-based football statistics site, compiles periodic market value updates for professional domestic competitions around the world. The platform evaluates player performance, age, contract duration, and transfer market trends to establish recognized industry valuations.
Rising Players and League Leaders
While several established players experienced value reductions, 19-year-old CSKA Moscow defender Kirill Danilov emerged as the top gainer across the entire league. Danilov saw his estimated market valuation increase from 4.5 million euros to 7 million euros, representing the largest single valuation rise in the Russian top flight.
PFC CSKA Moscow, based in the Russian capital, is one of the country's oldest and most decorated football institutions. Danilov's 19-year-old teammate, CSKA midfielder Matvey Kislyak, has now taken over as the most valuable player in the entire Russian Premier League with an estimated market value of 25 million euros.
Kislyak assumed top spot in the league standings following the departure of former valuation leader Alexey Batrakov. Batrakov was previously evaluated at 28 million euros while playing for FC Lokomotiv Moscow, another major club in the Russian capital, before completing a transfer during the summer transfer window to Turkish club Galatasaray SK in Istanbul.
Galatasaray is one of Turkey's most successful football clubs, competing in the Turkish Süper Lig and regular European club competitions, while Lokomotiv Moscow remains a multi-time winner of the Russian league championship.
