Ronaldo spent much of the opening 45 minutes venting his anger at 18-year-old goalkeeper Abdulrahman Al Otaibi, who was brought on following a 12th-minute red card for starting goalkeeper Bento.
Al Otaibi was making his senior professional debut for Al-Nassr when he was thrust into action following the dismissal of the Brazilian keeper. The teenager suffered from handling errors during his first half on the pitch, drawing frustrated hand gestures toward the substitutes bench from Ronaldo, who did not offer encouragement to his inexperienced colleague.
The Portuguese star also directed his ire at several other teammates before heading into the dressing room at the break with Al-Nassr facing a two-goal deficit.
