EA has revealed every Ultimate Team Icon appearing in FIFA 19 ahead of the game's release on September 28.
The new title will feature 74 different Icons in total, representing the highest number of legends in the game's history across 222 total cards. All 40 Icons from FIFA 18 are returning, with 34 new players joining the lineup.
The returning group from FIFA 18 includes Pele and Maradona, alongside 34 additions who are making their first ever appearance in a FIFA game.
New Legend Additions
New players include legendary Portugal striker Eusebio and Brazilian midfielder Socrates, nicknamed 'The Doctor'. Socrates appears as a lively CAM, with his 91-rated prime card featuring 84 pace, 90 dribbling, 90 shooting, 91 passing, 84 physicality and a 6'4" height.
The late Netherlands and Barcelona forward Johan Cruyff has also been added. His 94-rated prime card includes 91 pace, 94 dribbling, 92 shooting and 91 passing.
EA has added several England legends, with Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard, Paul Scholes, Sol Campbell, Gary Lineker and Bobby Moore joining returning players Rio Ferdinand, Michael Owen and Alan Shearer.
Midfield Ratings Debate
The ratings address the classic Gerrard vs Lampard vs Scholes debate, with EA deciding that Gerrard is the best of the three and Lampard is the worst. Lampard is one rating behind the other two with an overall rating of 90.
Lampard's prime card features 74 pace, 84 dribbling, 90 shooting, 73 defending, 88 passing and 81 physicality, totaling 490 stats. Scholes has a 91-rated prime card with 72 pace, 80 dribbling, 87 shooting, 64 defending, 91 passing and 82 physicality, adding up to 471 stats.
Gerrard, the current Rangers manager, leads the trio with 503 total stats on his prime card, featuring 77 pace, 85 dribbling, 77 defending, 90 passing and 84 physicality. EA also provided the full list of Icons and their prime card overall ratings.
