England players have received performance ratings following their three-week international break comprising four Nations League matches under manager Thomas Tuchel.

The squad faced Spain, Croatia, and two fixtures against the Czech Republic as Tuchel builds toward Euro 2028. Daily Mail Sport evaluated every player's contribution during the campaign, which saw standout displays alongside missed opportunities.

Tuchel used the Nations League fixtures to test squad depth, with Barcelona winger Anthony Gordon and Newcastle United defender Lewis Hall emerging as key performers.

Goalkeepers evaluate Trafford and Pickford

James Trafford of Leeds United earned a 7/10 rating after starting England's first two fixtures. Facing reigning European and world champions Spain, who were unbeaten in 38 matches, Trafford denied Ferran Torres repeatedly in a 3-2 defeat where Tuchel's defence was primarily at fault. He followed with an alert display in a 2-0 victory over the Czech Republic before Pavel Sulc received a red card.

Jordan Pickford of Everton received a 6/10 rating after coming into the side for game three against Croatia in Rijeka. Pickford was rarely threatened during a 7-0 victory and maintained another quiet outing against the Czech Republic at Wembley Stadium.

Brighton & Hove Albion goalkeeper Jason Steele received a 5/10 rating. Steele served as third-choice keeper, providing team atmosphere behind the scenes without making a competitive appearance.

Defenders highlighted by Hall and Alexander-Arnold

Lewis Hall of Newcastle United earned a 9/10 rating, locking down the left-back position in the absence of injured Nico O'Reilly. Hall demonstrated stamina along the left wing, linking up effectively with Gordon while remaining defensively sound to become one of the break's biggest successes.

Trent Alexander-Arnold showed his technical qualities during England's win at Czech Republic

Trent Alexander-Arnold of Real Madrid received a 7/10 rating. Making his first start under Tuchel nearly 500 days after his previous England appearance, Alexander-Arnold set up Gordon's opening goal against the Czech Republic. Technical quality earned him a second start in game four after he was unused in the 3-2 defeat to Spain due to defensive reservations.

Jarell Quansah of Bayer Leverkusen scored a 6/10 rating after starting at right-back against Spain, delivering a cross for Gordon's header against Croatia, and shifting to central defence in game four against the Czech Republic.

Marc Guehi of Manchester City received a 5/10 rating despite starting all four matches. Guehi made an early error against Spain inside two minutes, giving the ball to Lamine Yamal for Spain's opener, and looked insecure against 11-man Czech Republic before improving against Croatia.

Trevoh Chalobah of Como earned a 5/10 rating after starting against the Czech Republic alongside fellow Chelsea academy graduate Guehi, making a key block to deny Sulc an opening goal.

Ezri Konsa of Arsenal received a 5/10 rating following struggles against Spain and a start against Croatia, before withdrawing due to injury and returning to Arsenal prior to the final match.

Jarrad Branthwaite of Everton scored a 5/10 rating after making an 89th-minute substitute appearance against Spain and playing meaningful minutes in game four against the Czech Republic.

Nico O'Reilly of Manchester City received a 4/10 rating. The 21-year-old made a mistake against Spain in his sole appearance before returning to his club for medical assessment.

Midfielders led by Bellingham and Scott

Jude Bellingham of Real Madrid earned a 9/10 rating with a world-class campaign featuring one goal and four assists. Bellingham set up Gordon's equaliser against Spain, won a penalty that Harry Kane missed, wore the captain's armband against the Czech Republic, and dominated against Croatia.

Alex Scott of Bournemouth received an 8/10 rating. Scott won his first cap as a substitute against the Czech Republic before starting in the 7-0 win over Croatia. He played through a quad injury while remaining with the squad following the recent death of his grandfather, and now faces two months on the sidelines.

Elliot Anderson of Manchester City earned a 7/10 rating after starting all four matches. Anderson executed a double one-two move before setting up Kane's goal against Croatia in Rijeka.

James Garner of Everton received a 6/10 rating after being called up following squad withdrawals, making substitute appearances of 20 minutes against Spain, 20 against Croatia, and 30 against the Czech Republic.

Morgan Gibbs-White of Nottingham Forest scored a 6/10 rating after coming on as an 80th-minute substitute against Spain, the Czech Republic, and Croatia, before gaining extended playing time at Wembley.

Myles Lewis-Skelly of Arsenal earned a 5/10 rating, starting against Spain before being substituted at half-time against the Czech Republic due to yellow card risk and England needing creative adjustments.

Forwards feature Gordon and Kane

Anthony Gordon of Barcelona earned a 9/10 rating after scoring three goals and providing one assist. Gordon scored a counter-attack equaliser against Spain following Bellingham's pass, and added further goals against the Czech Republic and Croatia.

Harry Kane of Bayern Munich received a 9/10 rating after scoring in every match. Despite missing a penalty against Spain that could have put England 3-1 ahead, Kane equalled Peter Shilton's national record of 125 caps with a brace during the break.

Morgan Rogers of Chelsea scored a 7/10 rating, scoring England's seventh goal against Croatia and becoming the 25th different player to assist Kane during a 2-0 lead over the Czech Republic at Wembley, while teammate Cole Palmer remained at home.

Bukayo Saka (right) scored two goals for England but we still expect more from the star winger

Rio Ngumoha of Liverpool received a 6/10 rating. The 18-year-old missed the matchday squad against Spain before making two substitute appearances against the Czech Republic.

Bukayo Saka of Arsenal earned a 5/10 rating. Saka scored two goals while playing 90 minutes against Croatia but had quiet outings in his remaining appearances.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin of Leeds United received a 5/10 rating after serving as backup to Kane, making late substitute appearances in the 83rd minute against Spain and the final 10 minutes against the Czech Republic.

Eberechi Eze of Arsenal received a 5/10 rating, featuring as a half-time substitute against the Czech Republic, a substitute against Croatia, and a starter in game four against the Czech Republic.

Manager rating for Thomas Tuchel

Thomas Tuchel earned a 7/10 rating for managing England through the four Nations League fixtures. Despite a 3-2 defeat to Spain, Tuchel oversaw a 2-0 win over the Czech Republic, a 7-0 victory against Croatia, and a final win over the Czech Republic, marking a positive break following the conclusion of the World Cup.
