Eric Ten Hag has been following the Ukrainian for a long time
Manchester United joined the transfer race for the Shakhtar winger Mikhail Mudrik.
According to The Sun, Manchester United head coach Erik ten Hag has been following Mudrik since his days at Ajax. However, it is unlikely that Manchester United will try to sign him in January, after huge investments in the team this summer.
Mudrik may leave Shakhtar during the winter transfer window. This probability increased after the Pitmen’s departure from the Champions League.
A number of European clubs are interested in Mudrik, including Arsenal, Man City, Newcastle. The Gunners have held talks with Mudrik and his entourage and intend to sign the Ukrainian in the winter transfer window. The Pitmen are open to selling the winger in January. The Ukrainian club plans to sell Mudrik for at least 70 million euros.
This season, Mudryk has played 15 matches for Shakhtar in all competitions. He has 8 goals and 7 assists.
Shakhtar is second in the UPL with 27 points after 11 rounds. The Pitmen finished third in Group F and will continue to play in the Europa League.
