At a valuation of £1.7 million, Ferry represents an affordable option for Celtic. The defender possesses proven experience in Scottish football and shares key attributes with established left-back Kieran Tierney.
Celtic are currently in need of dependable cover on the left side of their defence. Tierney has struggled with fitness concerns, making it difficult for him to start every week or complete full 90-minute matches consistently.

Speaking on Sportscene, Brown highlighted the similarities between Ferry and Tierney. "He's similar to Kieran," Brown said. "He's powerful, he wants to drive forward, very good crosser of the ball."
Brown emphasized that Ferry's defensive capabilities match his attacking qualities. "A lot of people naturally think he just wants to go forward all the time, but he's a very, very good defender," Brown explained. "That's what Kieran is as well."
Brown added that Ferry represents good value in the current market. "It would be a very good move for Celtic if they go and snap him up, because there's been a bid for £1.7m already, and he didn't want to go," Brown said. "It's quite a cheap option to go and hopefully get a player who knows the league."
Celtic now face a brief window to decide whether to firm up their interest in Ferry before Thursday's deadline, as Dundee United prepare for further inquiries regarding their key defender.
