He helped the Japanese beat the Bundesteam
Goalkeeper Shuichi Gonda recognized man of the match between Germany and Japan in the first round World Cup 2022.
Gonda spent the entire match on the field and helped the Japanese team get a sensational victory over the German team – 2:1. Note that today’s match was the first for the 33-year-old goalkeeper at the world championships.
In total, Shuichi has 36 matches for the Japanese national team, in which he conceded 17 goals. 24 matches Gonda played “to zero”.
Japan’s next match in Group E will be against Costa Rica on November 27. On the same day Germany will play Spain.
