The ex-England defender talks about Mudryk: He needs to hurry up, the clock is ticking

Glen Johnson believes in the Ukrainian

Former West Ham, Chelsea, Liverpool and England defender Glen Johnson assessed Ukrainian winger Mikhali Mudryk’s first stint at Chelsea. According to the former Reds defender, Mikhail, who has not yet scored for the Blues in official matches, can turn the situation around. But Mudrik should hurry up.

“I think the clock is ticking for Mudryk because people talk about him every week. Moving to such a big club is not easy, especially with the expectations that were placed on him. However, I believe that he has the necessary qualities to correct the situation, but he needs to hurry up,” Johnson said.

This season, the 22-year-old Ukrainian played three matches for the Londoners in the English Championship, but was not particularly productive. During the break for national team matches, Mikhail took part in two matches of the Ukrainian national team – against England and Italy.

After four rounds played, Chelsea are in 12th place in the Premier League standings. In the next round, Mauricio Pochettino’s team will play against Ilya Zabarny’s Bournemouth.
