The German coach will lead the Red Devils until the 2026 World Cup inclusive
Royal Belgian Football Association (KBFA) officially announced the extension of the contract with the head coach Belgium national team Domenico Tedesco until July 2026. The previous agreement expired immediately after Euro 2024.
Let us remind you that Tedesco took over the Red Devils in February 2023, replacing Roberto Martinez in this post. Under him, the team played 10 matches, in which they won eight victories (including over Germany in a control match) and two draws.
Tedesco won the qualifying group, easily completing the task of qualifying for Euro 2024. Now he will work with the Belgian national team for at least one more qualifying round – his new contract runs until the 2006 World Cup inclusive.
Tedesco is 38 years old. His coaching career started in 2006, and for the last seven years the German of Italian origin has been coaching at the adult professional level. Before the Belgian national team, Domenico worked with Erzgebirge, Schalke (2017 – 2019, found Evgeniy Konoplyanka), Spartak and Leipzig. With the latter he won the 2022 German Cup. He was fired after a home defeat to Shakhtar (1:4) in the Champions League.
