The Golden State Warriors have completed the signings of shooting guard Georges Niang and point guard Brandon Williams on one-year deals on Tuesday.
According to ESPN reporter Shams Charania, the California franchise secured the roster additions to provide guard depth alongside star Stephen Curry for the 2026/27 NBA season. Niang agreed to a one-year contract worth $3.9 million, roughly 20 million Brazilian reais, while Williams signed a one-year deal worth $2.6 million, approximately 13.3 million reais.
Niang has played in the NBA since the 2016/17 season, though he did not take to the court during the previous campaign due to an injury. Over his career in the league, he has averaged 7.4 points, 2.5 rebounds, 1.0 assist, 0.3 steals, and 0.1 blocks per game in 17.5 minutes of action, alongside a 39.9 percent shooting mark from three-point range.

Williams entered the NBA during the 2021/22 season and spent part of his career in the NBA G League during the 2022/23 campaign. He holds career averages of 10.7 points, 2.4 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 0.8 steals, and 0.3 blocks in 19.3 minutes per contest.

Although Golden State defeated the LA Clippers in the first round of the play-in competition, they were subsequently eliminated by the Phoenix Suns in the final matchup for the Western Conference eighth playoff seed.
