Guardian of Magnitogorsk “Metallurgy” Ilya Nabokov and his teammate forward Roman Kantserov as well as Yaroslavl Lokomotiv hockey players Andrei Sergeev and Maxim Berezkin were recognized as the best players of the second round of the Fonbet KHL playoff championship, according to the league website.
Nabokov kept the goal intact three times in six matches against Spartak Moscow. The goalkeeper saved 96.35% of shots and the safety coefficient was 1.34.
Sergeev was recognized as the best defender, he has one puck and four assists in seven games in the series with Avangard Omsk. Berezkin, who became the best attacker, scored eight points (4+4) in these matches.
Kantserov is the best newcomer. The 19-year-old striker scored one goal and provided two assists in the series with Spartak.
