Athletistic/Hockey. Former head coach of the Russian national team Vyacheslav Bykov, in an interview with Metaratings.ru, called Sergei Bobrovsky (Florida Panthers) and Igor Shesterkin (New York Rangers) outstanding Russian goalkeepers.

“Right now, Sergei is truly one of the best Russian goalkeepers. Together with Igor Shesterkin, he sets new standards in his position. I don’t believe in comparing exceptional athletes to each other. Every hockey player has his own story. Each of them strives to demonstrate their skills and dedication to the profession,” noted Bykov.

In the current NHL playoffs, Florida leads the final series against the Edmonton Oilers with a score of 3-0 after three games.

Bobrovsky has 15 wins in 20 playoff games so far. The Russian goalkeeper successfully reflects 91.6% of shots with a reliability coefficient of 2.07 and two matches without conceding a goal.
