Commenting on Sangare's debut performance, Collins said: "He's alright, he started okay... we want more from him though! More goals, more tackles."

Post match celebrations at Brentford

Brentford entered the opening weekend following a 7-0 victory over German club Eintracht Frankfurt in their final pre-season fixture, having retained the core of their squad under Keith Andrews, who led the team to within one point of European qualification last season.

Following the final whistle, Brentford players celebrated on the pitch with supporters as Freed From Desire and Hey Jude played over the stadium sound system, recalling scenes from Brentford's opening day victory against Arsenal five seasons ago.
