Tennis players Katie Boulter and Alex De Minaur married in an intimate family ceremony in Leicestershire, and bridesmaid Laura Robson has shared fresh photos from the day on Instagram.

The couple married on the day of the Wimbledon final, in a village near where Boulter grew up and where her parents still live. According to reports by this publication, locals who had heard about the nuptials were sworn to secrecy, though a few gathered near the church hoping to catch a glimpse of the pair. Locals had also been banned from taking photos around the wedding, though it appears any ban on publicly posting pictures has since been lifted.

The ceremony

The wedding took place before a small congregation of family members at the same time as the men's Wimbledon final between reigning champion Jannik Sinner of Italy and Germany's Alexander Zverev.

Boulter wore a long white gown with her blonde hair swept up as she married De Minaur, her partner of six years. De Minaur, 27, is the world number five and the top-ranked Australian player. Boulter arrived at the church in the front seat of a black Porsche Carrera that De Minaur had been driving, and he was dressed in a black suit, white shirt and bow tie. The couple stepped out together before the ceremony, bride first and groom behind, smiling as they walked past a few well-wishers.

A prominent tennis couple

Boulter has been Britain's number one female player for much of the past five years and now ranks number two. Between them, the pair have earned more than $30 million (£22.5 million) in career prize money and have won 15 singles titles combined across the ATP and WTA Tours. They announced their engagement in 2024 and married in a Grade II-listed church in Old Woodhouse, Leicestershire, near the village of Woodhouse Eaves where Boulter grew up.

A local resident who knows Boulter's parents said some people in the village knew the wedding was happening but were sworn to secrecy, and that out of respect for the family, they kept it quiet since it is not often two top tennis players marry in the local church. The resident said a few villagers wandered along and stayed in the churchyard, where a new wild meadow area has recently been planted, adding that they simply wanted to see the bride they had watched growing up in the neighbourhood and that they are proud of her career and achievements.
