Philadelphia 76ers superstar LeBron James officially launched his own YouTube golf channel on Saturday, kicking off the digital project with a reunion of his 2016 Cleveland Cavaliers championship teammates at Castle Stuart Golf Links in Scotland.
The debut episode features the 41-year-old basketball icon playing alongside former Cavaliers teammates J.R. Smith, Tristan Thompson, Richard Jefferson, Channing Frye and Kevin Love in a competitive three-on-three scramble match.
Set against the coastal landscape of Cabot Highlands in northern Scotland, the match brought the former teammates together in a relaxed atmosphere filled with jokes and shared memories.
Championship reunion in Scotland
The six players divided into two teams for the scramble format, where teammates select the best shot from each stroke and play together from that spot until completing each hole. The outing marked a nostalgic gathering for the core roster that brought Cleveland its historic basketball title a decade earlier.
Speaking in exclusive comments to The Hollywood Reporter, the Akron native said he was looking forward to viewers seeing the debut episode, describing the excursion as the trip of a lifetime alongside his former teammates. James added that the group enjoyed playing golf while catching up in some of the most picturesque locations he had ever visited.

The new digital venture plans to release fresh episodes every month. The series highlights a personal side of the NBA's all-time leading scorer, who explained that he discovered golf to be an ideal challenge to stay active, learn a new skill and enjoy himself off the basketball court.
Transition to the Philadelphia 76ers
The digital launch comes during a major career transition for James, who recently reshaped the NBA free agency market by signing a two-year contract with the Philadelphia 76ers. The move prepares the legendary forward to enter his 24th season in the NBA, extending his record for league longevity.
James previously completed two memorable stints with the Cleveland Cavaliers, fulfilling his promise to deliver the franchise its first NBA championship in 2016. His upcoming season with Philadelphia will begin with a high-profile matchup when he makes his Sixers debut against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.
Expanding media empire
Beyond his on-court career and new golf channel, James continues to expand his broader media footprint. The basketball star and his long-time business partner, Maverick Carter, are finalizing plans with ESPN to produce a behind-the-scenes documentary series designed to match the global cultural impact of Michael Jordan's 2020 series The Last Dance.
