AEK coach Marko Nikolic said he was very satisfied after his side beat Sint-Truiden 3-0 in their final friendly before returning to Greece, though he acknowledged the team could have scored more.
All three goals came in the first half, with Pilios and Jovic among the scorers. Nikolic said his only concern was that the team failed to add to their tally despite having further chances.
When asked about the Champions League playoff draw, Nikolic deflected, saying there are good teams with large budgets preparing for a long time and that those games are still far away. He said AEK are focused only on the Super Cup against OFI, adding that he spotted OFI staff at the match and that they are preparing hard as well.
Nikolic noted that 10 days remain until the first competitive match of the season.
