The International Ski Federation (FIS) has announced on its official website the postponement of the first stage of the Snowboard World Cup, which was to be held in Livigno (Italy).
The reason for the postponement of the stage was the lack of snow for the competition, as well as “local station difficulties and water problems”.
The Snowboard World Cup in Livigno was scheduled for December 3-4. After its postponement, the start of the season will take place in Winterberg, Germany, on December 10 and 11. Note that the Livigno stage has been postponed to March.
Earlier in November, the FIS postponed the Milan Cross-Country Skiing World Cup to Livigno due to rising electricity prices and the inability to produce artificial snow as a result. Additionally, the International Biathlon Union (IBU) canceled the first stage of the IBU Cup in Shushen, Norway due to lack of snow.
