Enbert on competition in pair skating: “In a tight fight, new elements, new ideas, new performances are born”

Silver medalist at the Pyeongchang Olympics Alexandre Enbert in a conversation with , he noted the high competition of Russian pair skating.

Earlier on Sunday, competitions in sports duets within the framework of the St. Petersburg Championship came to an end. The first place was taken by Anastasia Mishina and Alexander Gallyamov, the second – by Alexandra Boikova and Dmitry Kozlovsky, the third – by Anna Moskaleva and Maxim Lozhkin.

– I am very happy that our couples are fighting head to head. It creates competition, struggle, gives each of the couples the confidence that they can really win and that they are on the right track. I fully understand athletes, it is difficult for them to lose, especially after victories. But for pair figure skating, such a tight fight is fine. New elements, new ideas, new productions are born there.
