Athletistic/Swimming. Evgeny Rylov, double Olympic champion, won the gold medal at the Russian Swimming Championships in Kazan in the 200m backstroke. He swam the distance in 1 minute 55.50 seconds. Second place was taken by Alexey Tkachev (1 minute 57.20 seconds) and bronze went to Dmitry Savenko (1 minute 57.21 seconds).
Three-time World Championship medalist Vladislav Grinev won the 100m freestyle. Three-time World Championship medalist Andrey Minakov was second and Olympic silver medalist Kliment Kolesnikov was third.
European Championship silver medalist Alexander Kudashev won the 200m butterfly. Alexander Kharlanov took silver, and Egor Pavlov became third.
Alexander Stepanov won the 1500m freestyle. Second place was taken by Kirill Martynychev, and third by Ivan Morgun.
Belarusian Ilya Shimanovich won the 50m breaststroke, Andrei Nikolaev the silver and Danil Semyaninov the bronze.
The Moscow team (Kolesnikov, Semyaninov, Pyotr Zhikharev, Grinev) won the 4×100 m medley relay, the second place was taken by the St. Petersburg team, and the third place by the Belarusian team.
