Panathinaikos striker Andreas Tetteh has been hospitalized after being diagnosed with infectious mononucleosis. Tetteh, a Greek international, already missed the club's first match against Bulgarian side CSKA 1948.
The Greens host CSKA 1948 on Wednesday, August 5, in the first leg of the third qualifying round of the Europa Conference League, and Tetteh will not be available for that match either. He is also doubtful for the return leg against CSKA 1948 next week.
Club Statement
Panathinaikos said Tetteh was transported to the hospital, where he remains under treatment due to the onset of infectious mononucleosis. The club said the international forward is undergoing daily clinical and laboratory tests to assess the progress of his health.
Panathinaikos described his symptoms as mild.
