Panserraikos secured qualification for the League Phase of the SUPERBET Greek Cup on Wednesday after defeating Panthrakikos 2-1 with a dramatic stoppage-time penalty in Serres.

Passas converted the spot-kick in the fourth minute of injury time to break a 1-1 deadlock and send the home side through to the next stage.

Panserraikos had taken an early lead in the fourth minute through Alexandropoulos, putting the hosts ahead quickly and indicating they would comfortably secure qualification.

Panthrakikos Equaliser and Stoppage-Time Penalty

That comfort proved short-lived as Komotini-based Panthrakikos fought back, with Gorteziani scoring an equaliser in the 24th minute to alter the momentum of the tie.

The 1-1 scoreline held through the remainder of the first half and deep into the second period, leaving the two teams on the verge of a penalty shootout.

Relief for Panserraikos arrived in the 94th minute when the hosts earned a penalty, which Passas successfully converted to establish the final 2-1 result.

SUPERBET Greek Cup League Phase Results

The dramatic victory places Panserraikos among 15 teams that have already secured qualification for the League Phase of the SUPERBET Greek Cup, with only one remaining spot to be decided in the competition.

In other Greek Cup action, Niki Volou eliminated Panionios on penalties following a standout performance from goalkeeper Garavelis, while Kifisia recorded a 6-0 victory against Zakynthos.

Kalamata, known as the Black Storm, also advanced to the League Phase after securing a 4-2 victory over Panetolikos.
