PAOK through to Europa League third round after beating Dynamo Kyiv

PAOK advanced to the third qualifying round of the Europa League on July 30 after beating Dynamo Kyiv 2-0 for the second time in the tie, with coach Alessio Lisi singling out the club's fans and pointing to clear signs of improvement from his side.

Λίσι για την πρόκριση του ΠΑΟΚ: «Φανταστικοί οι οπαδοί μας»

Lisi said it had been a wonderful evening and described the supporters as fantastic. He said what pleased him most was that the team grew stronger as the match went on, and that the players waited for their moments and took advantage of them when they arrived.

The coach was candid about the performance's shortcomings. He said there had been blank periods during the match and that the squad still had a distance to travel before reaching perfection, adding that there were things in need of improvement.

He noted that PAOK had produced a better performance in this game than in the first leg, which had been played in Poland. He called on the team to continue in the same direction.

Asked about the next round, Lisi said the identity of the next opponent was irrelevant to the club's approach. He said the team would be on the training ground from the following day, beginning their preparations for whoever they faced.
