Leandro Paredes has been involved in another on-field altercation, this time confronting a referee during Boca Juniors' Copa Sudamericana away match against O'Higgins in Chile.
During the match, the referee showed a yellow card to one of Paredes' teammates. Paredes reacted angrily and the two came face to face. There was pushing, and Paredes was also shown a yellow card.

The incident is the latest in a pattern of aggressive behavior from the Argentine international midfielder. Paredes made headlines for the wrong reasons at the World Cup final, when at the final whistle, following Argentina's defeat, he was involved in a serious incident with Spanish players.
Paredes had grabbed Eric Garcia by the throat and knocked Gavi to the ground.
Boca Juniors were playing the second leg of a Copa Sudamericana tie against O'Higgins away in Chile when the latest confrontation occurred, as Argentina's domestic season has begun across both league and South American cup competitions.
