The Technical Chamber of Greece has restarted the tender process for the energy upgrade of the Peace and Friendship Stadium after the Court of Audit refused to approve the original contract. The project carries a total estimated value of 24.8 million euros including VAT.
The initial tender launched on May 4. Technical company TEKAL emerged as the lowest bidder, leading the Technical Chamber of Greece to award the project on June 5. However, Section V of the Court of Audit discovered omissions in the award process during its pre-contract audit, blocking the contract signing.
New tender schedule
Following the ruling, the Technical Chamber of Greece canceled the initial procedure and re-issued the tender. Bid unsealing took place on Thursday, August 6. The new tender is set for September 10 at the offices of the Technical Chamber of Greece.
The Technical Chamber of Greece handles the tender under a programmatic agreement signed with the Peace and Friendship Stadium, which received prior approval from the Court of Audit.
