Porto beat second-division side Tondela 1-0 to win the Portuguese Super Cup for the 25th time in the club’s history, claiming the first title of the new season.

The only goal came in the 38th minute, scored by Danish player Frøkhold, as Porto, coached by Italian manager Francesco Farioli, controlled the match throughout.

The victory extended Porto’s all-time lead in the Super Cup trophy standings. Benfica sit second with 10 titles, while Sporting are third with one fewer than Benfica.
