The Red Bull Batalla Peru National Final will take place on Saturday, September 12 at Paradiso Lima in Chorrillos, featuring 16 freestyle MCs competing for the national title.
The winner of the 2026/27 edition will represent Peru at the upcoming Red Bull Batalla International Final, which will also be hosted in Peru.
Red Bull Batalla is a premier Spanish-language freestyle rap competition in which MCs face off in head-to-head verbal duels, delivering improvised rhymes evaluated by a panel of judges on rhythm, flow, and lyrical impact.
The competition is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. at Paradiso Lima, returning to the venue that hosted the previous edition of the tournament in the coastal Chorrillos district of Lima.
Tickets for the event are sold exclusively through Ticketmaster. Early general admission passes were priced at S/70 from July 24 to August 17, with regular pricing set at S/80 from August 18 through September 12, subject to availability.
Tournament Format and High Stakes
The 2026/27 national final brings together 16 participants in a single-day knockout competition. The tournament bracket begins with the round of 16 and advances through the quarterfinals, semifinals, and final to determine the national champion.
The knockout structure leaves little margin for error. A slow start, a weak response, or a misstep in reading the crowd can result in immediate elimination from the tournament.
With Peru selected as the host nation for the upcoming International Final, the stakes for this edition are higher than usual. Winning the national crown grants the champion the opportunity to perform before a home crowd on freestyle rap's largest international stage.
The event follows years of growth across the Peruvian freestyle movement, which has expanded from street plazas, regional leagues, and online battles into professional tournaments and major arenas.

Two competitors, Jota Shoy and Stick, enter the tournament with three national titles each. Either performer could become the first four-time national champion in the history of Red Bull Batalla Peru.
Jota Shoy stands as a central figure in the legacy of Peruvian freestyle rap. His three previous national crowns and international competition record have established him as a key representative of the domestic scene's history.
Stick is known for tactical consistency, strategy, and stagecraft. Competitors regard his veteran experience and stage presence as formidable assets in high-pressure rounds where reading the moment is as critical as punchline execution.
Challengers and Former Champions
Nekroos enters the competition as one of the most respected names in the Peruvian circuit. Known for his career trajectory and stage presence, he aims to secure his first Red Bull Batalla Peru national championship title.
KG appears as a key performer from the scene's newer generation. Bringing technical resources, strong projection, and experience on major stages, his performance will depend on managing competition pressure.
Katacrist returns as a former national champion who established his place during the scene's recent generational shift. Known for versatility and audience engagement, he remains an experienced competitor in high-demand battle settings.
Venti offers a distinct style centered on musicality, flow, and delivery. While holding less experience in major national finals than veteran champions, his approach could create surprises if he connects with the audience.
